houston interview

So, I just had my interview for KCS Concepts in Houston. It went really well! I got a call back for a second interview! I supposed that's a good sign. Anyway, just wanted to post a lil somethin'-somethin'.

damn wrist pain & yahoo

So, it's been a good minute since I updated this thing, so I decided to go ahead and post something. First of all, my GOSH! My left wrist is killing me! I'm not sure if I hurt it somehow when I was working out or if I have corpel tunnel (spelling?). Whatever it is, it hurts really bad! If it gets any worse, I guess I'll have to go to the doctor. Anyway, on a better note, Yahoo! released a free app in the iTunes App Store for their messenger service. It's been long enough, but it was well worth the wait. The app is very nicely done. Everything works very fluidly and is finely asthetically pleasing. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you should definitely try this app out if you use Yahoo!

anticipation & ouch

Ok, so there is officially only 3 more days until the Hannah Montana movie premier this Friday in theatres! I'm super excited, as I already preordered my tickets about 2 weeks ago, lol. So yea, I can't wait to go watch the movie with tons and tons of little girls, ugh, so embarassing. Anyway, I also been working out a bit too. Damn the gym. I thought excercising was supposed to make you full of energy and feel better... yea, no. I am always sore and tired. When I get back home working out, I feel like I have the flu. I feel shaky, nausiated, and just complete shit. I hope it gets better, because I know I am out of shape. Anyway, that's what's new to me. Lata betches!

omfg - crazzzzyyyy weekend

OMG lol

So, remember when I said I was going see the Vettes perform in Lake Charles? WOW. The Vettes were amazing. I was so excited when the lead singer and the guitarist remembered me! It was so surreal, lol. Anyway, so after me and Kimberly watched the amazing performance, we decided to go to Crystals, which is the gay bar in Lake Charles. I agreed because I was a little lit at that moment. I had my reservations for going because about a year and a half ago, me and my ex Rudy broke up. Rudy met another guy (also named Jeremy) and moved to Lake Charles to be with him. So, basically, I have no seen or spoken to him since we broke up. WELL, he just happened to be at Crystal, OF COURSE. It was GREAT though, because he gained about 50 pounds! YAY! He did a triple take at me though. Karma is great.

Houston visit gone bad...

Ok, well everything went "ok" but I got to my hotel around 6:30pm. Well, want to guess what time Manuel had to leave?! 10:00AM!!! WTF! Yea, I spent over $100.00 on gas and a hotel just to spend a few hours with someone I am in love with, which obviously doesn't love me as much. I'm such a dumbass.

Ok, so Manuel called me out of no where last night. Pretty much, he was asking for me back. I ended up taking him back. We'll see how this goes. I am going visit him this weekend in Houston after I get off of work. I'll keep you updated.

I just started working out today for the first time in YEARS. I am hurting so bad, and my arms feel like jelly! I decided to get a membership at Anytime Fitness. I am hoping that working out will allow me to have a new channel to get out my pent up tensions. Also, I am hoping to gain better self esteem and confidence in my self image. I hate when breakups make me feel that something is wrong with me. I try my hardest not to allow myself to believe that, but it is difficult.

Apple Debuts New iPod Shuffle

Yea, at times, I can be a big nerd... Especially when it comes to Apple products. Recently, Apple announced their new iPod Shuffle. Even smaller than the previous, the new iPod's controls are located on the earphone line. One unique feature of this new iPod is the ability of VoiceOver. This technology verbally says the title and artist of the song you are listening to. This technology was brought over from Apple's Mac OS X software. Apple's marketing team came up with a very fitting tag of "Small Talk" for the product, obviously relating the iPod's size with its VoiceOver ability.





Anyway, if you are interested in Apple products, I suggest you check out MacRumors. It is a great website that is very unbias in regards to reporting Apple news and rumors. Their website is www.macrumors.com.

Hey Guys...
It's been an emotional rollercoaster for me the last week, and I would like to appologize for not being able to post more that I would like to [or required to I should say!]. My partner and I have been having issues, which has consumed my very small and valuable free time that I do have. Anyway, just wanted to touch base with you all! Say "Goodbye" to Slideshows!

Just wanted to share an interesting website I found recently. Ok, you know how you can create moving slideshows of your images on MySpace and PhotoBucket? Well this is a lot better! First of all, it's free. Secondly, it looks amazing! You upload your photos, then upload or choose a song, and Animoto does the work for you. There is a downside: you can only make 30 second video clips for free. If you want longer videos or more options, you will have to pay for the service. Here is an example of what animoto.com can do:

blueprints

The Annual Blueprints event was last weekend. I am interning at the Acadian Home Builders Association this semester. Blueprints is the annual home, garden, and leisure show that they produce. I went check it out on Sunday. It was really interesting with lot of vendor booths that displayed many companies' products and/or services that they offered. LUS's Fiber was there, which I have to say completely overshadowed Cox's booth. (BTW, I also work at Cox Communications part time.) But anyway, it was a lot of fun, and I had a great chance to network. I hope everyone's weekend was a LOT more fun than mine! Talk to you soon mi gente!

mardi gras

So, I went to Houston last weekend to go to a masquerade Mardi Gras ball with my boyfriend.  We had a blast.  I had worked on a mask for the ball for a week prior to the event.  My hard work really paid off!  The mask came out great, and I got a lot of attention!  Here are some pictures we took.  I hope everyone's Mardi Gras is safe and fun.
